NEW ARRIVALS UPDATE MAY 2
CLUBBIE CLUB CLUB

XXXCHANGE ~ Money Lotion EP #2 ft JUICEBOXXX (Money Studies) : 12" : Club / Electro : $22 LIMITED EDITION of 500 WORLDWIDE!
Spankrock's uber-producer Armani XXXChange rocks it smooth for the 'for working-DJs' series, Money Lotion. You're thinking Timberlake's My Love could NEVER exist without Timbo's stuttering synths? Put money on this one and reconsider. XXXchange lays down a serious production challenge here. Indie darlings, The Knife, get spliced and rearranged into their own disco-fied medley. Instrumental are AS worthy for both!

TITTSWORTH ~ EZ EP (T&A Records) : 12" : Baltimore Club: $24
Jesse Tittsworth is nimble with the Bmore treatments. The EZ EP follows on from his awesomely popular and ridiculously jam-packed self-titled EPs...and it only does better. Thumping next level Bmore in the vein of Trouble&Bass intensity.

BONDE DO ROLE ~ Solta O Frango (Mad Decent) : 12" : Baltimore Club: $22
YYYYYEEA-haa! To the official worldwide single release of Brasil's hilarious Bonde do Role! 12" jammed with as much Solta O Frango as possible...instrumental and an acapella (so rare for that baile Portuguese). Plus another offering from their album to tie us over til its release in early June.

BLAQSTARR ~ Supastarr (Mad Decent) : 12" : Baltimore Club: $24
Diplo's second label
signing from one of the epicentres of Club music today, Baltimore. And
in the face of the innernet's proliferations of formulaic 'White-ified'
Bmore remixes, Blaqstarr comes with a whole new thing. Diplo describes
it as "violent, futuristic soul music". And, somehow, throughout this 6
track EP you truely do reach those ends. The 'futuristic soul' is
abundant: 'Rockstarr', 'Superstarr' and 'Automatic Lover' feature
Blaqstarr and friends' sombre crooning over stripped back Bmore
foundations. Real dancefloor territory is staked on the minimal Club
track, Shake It to The Ground, featuring rebounding yardgirl vocal
loops from MC Rye Rye. 'Check Me Out Like' runs into epic synth
territory (almost recalling early Shadow production to me) and the
violence gets foregrounded in the shattering gun shot anthem, 'Tote
It'. The overriding intensity of this EP trashes any assumptions that
Club music has gotta be all happy-go-licky. The Mad Decent / Blaqstarr
combo documents a fresh perspective - and provides the DJ with some
minimal productions to mixup that undimensional Bmore set. Acapella to Shake It To The Ground included for you to build your own "violent, futuristic soul".
