With thanks to our waxy breddrin over at Brooklyn's Turntable Lab, we have been certified a small handful of this Diplo Drums of Death Remix of the croon'n'whistle pop dittie Young Folks. Jimmy Sing's is the only store after Turntable Lab stocking this white label (you want proof, check Diplo's very own Mad Decent website). Now, I know I've been telling you this since June but these babies are safely here after their epic lost in the mail saga. The reworking by Diplo is characteristically perrrfect. But as if you wanted to do your own Young Folks mix the flipside offers up the song's never-before-seen original instrumental and accapella. All copies are hand-stamped with only 500 in existence in the world yo!

Four DJ-primed extended-intro mixes pulled from A-Trak's Dirty South Dance mixtape collab he did with Obey Giant. This is the club sound of today's nights: vocal-laden electro, y'know, club rap. The blends feature Lil Jon, Clipse, MIA, DJ UNK, Kavinsky and Kitsune-type beats. With all the confused club nights in Sydney advertising 'crunk' music but never playing anything below 120bpm, it makes me think this has to be the very record they've committed to play.

Ex-Five Deez rapper and Spankrock crew cohort, Pase Rock, manages a well-tapping bmore dittie about Lohan's 'baby rat'. It's a tune that can go down as legendary in the blogosphere but now with vinyl release (courtesy of Baltimore Bass Connection's new label, Fully Fitted) this will travel. Jump on it. Also comes with the AA sider, Sexy Motherfucker, featuring Amanda Blank; a DJ Eli 'bangin ass' remix of said tune, some instrumentals and beatpella thingies!

By now, you gotta know the drill on this girl Maya. Getting a lot of press for some obvious reasons...primarily, that it's really good. Awesome production guidance from Switch, Diplo, Blaqstarr, Morganics, Timbaland, MIA herself - jam packed.

Still a sucker for any punching Rio bass tune on vinyl. If it's not featuring Edu K, we've're coming to accept that baile funk wax is pretty much the duty of uncredited white label bootleggers. This one's from the UK and its already sold out worldwide. Real limited stock here. The highlight is Gaiola Das Popozudas' O Darcy, a feature OG lady funk slammer, which was repped by Diplo on his Fabriclive. This is the primal shit with a bass thump like DJ MP4's infamous The Book is on the Table. The other three tracks are some wild Miami Bass / Booty classics: dunno who, dunno when. Corker every which way.

RESTOCK FROM THE HEADQUARTERS OF MAN RECORDINGS...OUT OF PRINT FOR OVER ONE YEAR! VERY LIMITED COPIES! This one is a white-label style (but official) mash-up affair for Edu K, who brought us the big Sexxomatic and Popozuda Rock 12"s that every mob and ya dog has lapped up by now. Edu K, as the self appointed Mr.Baile Punk, mashes his and Deize Tigrona's vocal highlights with everyone from AC/DC, wacko Jacko, The White Stripes, The Specials, reggaeton, cubano electro sounds and more. I reckon this 12" could turn out almost any dancefloor. If for whatever crazy reason you're not feeling the rockist sampling choices then this 12" is made solid funk with Bonde Do Role's remix of Sexxomatic: the rave-era chorus breakdown into call-and-response futebol chanting is massive!! This sorta 12" is the reason for Jimmy Sing's existence. Wholly and holy recommended. The third installment of the Office Boy remixes featuring skippie kids AIH, jamming out the "B-Boy!" exclamation in true percussive form. Definitely the pick of the whole lot. CSS on the flip with their bass driven dancefloor-success version.

MUSTAFA OZKENT ~ Genclik ile Elele (Finder's Keepers) : LP : Turkish Psych B-Boy Instrumentals: $36
It was the front cover and its sticker notes that sucked us into Finders Keepers' latest offering: "The Daddy of all Turkish rarities, this record simply has to be heard to be believed and even then it's still literally unbelievable. Vintage Turkish B-Boy instrumental LP from 1972 which should be sharing throne space with other Ultimate Breaks and Beats such as Michael Viners 'Incredible Bongo Band', Funky Drummer and Johnny the Fox." And we second that, they're NOT wrong. 10 tracks in all.

SELDA ~ Selda (Finder's Keepers) : LP : Turkish Psyche Folk Genius : $36
Freaked breaks and mad fuzzy riffs seat Selda's incredible wail in one of the most unique records to have landed this year. But this is no revival neu-folk from Brooklyn thing, this is the real McCoy straight out of Turkey, 1976. Selda not only smashes musical expectations with her psyche backing band, Dadaslar, but her political prose is known to be radically progressive and outspoken. (The second track on this record - Yaz Gazeteci Yaz - is forever.)

The long-awaited full length debut from the crown royalty of Sydney's all-age Chooch-a-bahn phenomenon, NOTV! Lucy Cliche and Mathew Hopkins have spent the last few years bringing the darkness back to new/no-wave, disposing of the disco and embarking on some avid lights-off dimensioneering. This record captures the anthemic highlights of their live shows - All Aboard and The Horse, He's Sick - in far more dynamic ways then past recordings...but don't expect straight stompers, this is a LONG player (9 tracks) with plenty of space within. Recommend it.

Best D-I-Y-to-the-lo-fi dub project band in the world. And they're from sunny Melbourne, are a two piece that are not scared of a saxophone or the art of hyptonism. Plus they're more advanced then many artists out there, accompanying a CD version of the 7" in the picture sleeve.
